My First Technical Interview

I did it :) Yes, I did. M first technical interview. Didn’t think I did too bad if I don’t say so myself. Well enough of the foolery, lets get to it. My friend set me up with a referral for an interview at a company in PA. I was honored that my friend thought about me and the recruiter reached out. I was looking forward to this day to showcase why I wanted to be a developer and showcased other interests I had in what the company stood for. The recruiter was very nice and scheduled a technical interview for the same week. She assured me not to be nervous and to answer the questions as best as I can to my knowledge.

So prior I made sure that I studied upon leetcode and codewars to do certain challenges. I feel that the sites of solving their puzzles are different than what we learned inside of Flatiron and it’s good to get a sense of how to solve them. It helped give me additional confidence when I met with the Technical recruiter today. He asked me to solve the 3 questions he had below and we could use any resource we wanted to.

I solved them fairly easily and was asked to explain my work verbally. I wasn’t as smooth as I was for actually solving the problems. All in all, it was a great opportunity to actually have my first live technical interview and what I took away from it is to verbally walk through your functions.

Cheers
